Phuket beach

The island of Phuket is undoubtedly one of Thailand’s most valuable attractions. It is adorned by the resplendent Andaman Sea, renowned for being both vivid and serene, and connected to the majestic Pha-ngan mainland by bridge. The Andaman imbues its inhabiting islands with jaw-dropping seascapes, gently painting Phuket’s coastline with a sublime palette of aquamarine, turquoise, and teal—often in stark contrast to the island’s immaculate, white sandy beaches. The growing appeal of buy a holiday villa in Phuket is in large part due to the natural splendor of the island, but there are other factors that cannot (and should not) be ignored.

As exquisite as Phuket is, its greatest strength may instead be its location in relation to other gems scattered around it.  The surrounding area is a veritable treasure trove of awe-inspiring islands, coastlines and nature reserves. Seeing over 10 million visitors a year, and sustaining a population of roughly 500 000 people year-round, Phuket has been compared to the likes of Singapore and Hong Kong, but with the exception that it’s far less densely populated, is itself a tropical paradise, costs a lot less to live in and is neighboured by some of the world’s most sublime getaways. Okay, so those are some major differences. But with Phuket International airport boasting a multitude of international flight routes at very competitive prices, it has become an awesome place to both live in and holiday at.

The island is a tasteful combination of beauty, versatility and diversity, and caters to a wide variety of lifestyles. Those looking for first-class shopping experiences are spoilt for choice, others keen on water sports and outdoor activities are delighted day in and day out; there is snorkeling, diving, kayaking, jet-skiing, boating, yachting, super-yachting, trekking, rock climbing, a number of luxury golf courses and country clubs, local markets, Michelin-star fine dining, and the list goes on! Phuket truly has something for everyone. Whether it be a chic day spent in cosmopolitan luxury, an evening of blissful relaxation in peace and tranquillity or indulging one’s senses in an architectural-come-culinary tour of Phuket’s quaint Old-town, the island simply doesn’t disappoint. It has spades of charm, buckets of accessibility and boatloads to offer, so why not stake a claim?

Holiday villas in Phuket are some of the most valuable anywhere. If one were looking to own a holiday base from which to venture forth and indulge in the best Southern Thailand has to offer, they should look no further than Phuket. The appeal of owning property on the island is so pervasive that we at KASA have encountered individuals who reside there but conduct most of their business (in person) in Hong Kong, Singapore and other cities abroad. On the other hand, it’s not uncommon to encounter those who live abroad and buy a holiday villa in Phuket to visit bi-monthly, or even every weekend (flight prices really are that good).  Because quality properties on the island are highly sought-after for the lifestyle they afford, investors stand to make lucrative gains from sound assets. The cherry on top, of course, is that they have the option of enjoying the star-studded Andaman as much as those 10 million visitors who gravitate to Phuket every year.
